Why we exist

Eighteen years of searching. Thousands of dollars. Skin that kept getting worse.

Angele tried everything for her rosacea-prone skin. In 2023 she stopped trying to correct it and focused on nourishing the barrier instead — and formulated the oil she couldn’t buy.

Twenty years in healthcare and formal culinary training taught her to formulate like a chef, not a chemist: sourced thoughtfully, combined intentionally, nothing along for the ride. Today she makes every batch with her son Ryan in Victoria, BC.

Before you decide

It’s the reason the formula exists. Both steps are made for sensitive, reactive skin — and if you react to scent, Face Food Unscented has no essential oils or added fragrance at all.

Hydration is immediate — skin feels softer from the first use. Calming and barrier-supporting benefits build with daily use over a few weeks, which is why the set is sized for about two months.

Three to four drops twice a day makes 20 ml last roughly a month, 40 ml roughly two. If you’ve never used a face oil before, the $9 mini is the same formula in a travel size — start there.

No water means no preservatives and a fresher formula that lasts longer — around 80 washes per jar. You control the lather: less water for a gentler cleanse, more for a richer one. It’s also travel- and TSA-friendly.
